A video streaming solution is a dedicated server for streaming designed to serve audio or video content to remote mobile, desktop, or set-top devices. This server could be used for video streaming, audio streaming, and radio streaming. It is equipped with software that can transcode the files so that users can begin playing the media in real-time without having to download the entire file. Most media servers utilize some form of encoding and compression in order to reduce file size to increase performance.
